Branded meeting room comparison: pick the right room for the job

Generic Room vs Branded Room: which plan fits, and when to move up

Generic room vs branded room comes down to whose room it is. The Generic Room keeps the BrandedRooms look on a brandedrooms.com address for $99 a month, with guest capture and CSV export, the standard effects pack and the attendee list. The Branded Room ($499 a month, most popular) makes the room entirely yours, with your brand and domain, the offers rail, CRM and email hookups and follow-up funnels. Every room starts with a free 30-day trial, no card, and Custom Deluxe ($1,499 a month) sits above both.

The four steps, side by side

BrandedRooms plans build on each other, so each step keeps everything below it and adds something specific. Here is the ladder in one view.

  • Free 30-day trial, no card: a generic room on a brandedrooms.com address, the "[host] will be joining shortly" waiting room, the meeting inside the page, Start the room and guest capture. The BrandedRooms badge is shown, and the room needs a plan after thirty days.
  • Generic Room, $99 a month: the generic room kept, plus guest capture with CSV export, the standard effects pack and the attendee list with capacity warnings. Badge shown.
  • Branded Room, $499 a month: your logo, colours and fonts (waiting room too), your domain or subdomain, CRM and email hookups with tags, the featured offers rail and follow-up funnels, plus the standard effects and attendee list. Badge removed.
  • Custom Deluxe, $1,499 a month: fully branded, with its own command center and Go Live, a logo burst, five custom party features included (your choice of effect, image and sound for each, with more addable any time as an upgrade) and priority support. Badge removed.

Free trial vs paid room: what the thirty days are for

The trial is a real generic room, not a demo. You connect the meeting account you already use, guests join in the browser with nothing to download, wait in the lobby and enter together when you press Start the room. Names and emails are captured at the door.

What the trial does not include is what a paid room adds: the CSV export, the effects pack and the attendee list arrive with the Generic Room, and your own brand arrives with the Branded Room. After thirty days the room must move to a paid plan to stay open, and because no card was taken, nothing is charged automatically. Use the time to run at least one real session, so the choice you make afterwards is based on a room you have actually hosted.

What the Generic Room is good at

The Generic Room is the right plan when the room needs to work well but does not need to look like your company. It keeps the BrandedRooms look and address, with the badge, and gives you the tools that make a session feel hosted.

  • A guest list you can export as a CSV after every session, tagged by event.
  • The standard effects pack with sound: confetti, sparkles, rockets and applause over the meeting, fired with keys 1–5.
  • A live attendee list and capacity warnings as the room nears your meeting licence's participant limit.
  • A good fit for team all-hands, member calls with nothing to sell, internal training and celebrations where the address does not matter.

When to upgrade to a Branded Room

Move up to the Branded Room when the room starts doing business for you. These are the usual signals.

  • You are inviting clients, customers or the public, and the brandedrooms.com address and badge no longer fit the impression you want.
  • There is something to offer during the session, such as a programme, a product or a sign-up form, and you want it in the offers rail beside the meeting instead of pasted into chat.
  • You are exporting CSVs after every event and would rather guests went straight to your CRM or email tool with tags.
  • You want the follow-up to start on its own when the event ends, with a funnel into the replay, offer or next event.
  • You want the room on your own domain or subdomain, with your logo, colours and fonts from the waiting room onward.

When to move up to Custom Deluxe

Custom Deluxe is for the room that has become a signature experience. Move up when you want to run the show from your own command center and press Go Live, when a logo burst over the meeting should mark the start, and when the effects should be made for your brand rather than chosen from the standard pack. Five custom party features are included: for each one you pick the party effect, the image, such as your logo popping up, and the sound. More can be added any time as an upgrade. Priority support comes with it.

Beyond Custom Deluxe, single sign-on, multi-room administration and white-label for agencies are available on request. Talk to sales and they are scoped and quoted with you.

What stays the same on every plan

Some things do not change with the plan, and it is worth knowing them up front. You always bring your own meeting account and licence; BrandedRooms never resells it. Your meeting licence is always the capacity cap, because everyone in the room counts toward that plan's participant limit. Effects play on the page and are not in the meeting platform's recording, so screen-record the room page if you want them in a replay. Guests who prefer the desktop app can still use the regular link, though they will not see your page. And your guests' details belong to you on every plan.

Plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time, with the room keeping its plan until the end of the period you paid for. Ask about annual billing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a generic room vs branded room?+

The Generic Room keeps the BrandedRooms look and brandedrooms.com address, with the badge, for $99 a month, and adds CSV export, the standard effects pack and the attendee list. The Branded Room, at $499 a month, makes the room yours with your logo, colours and domain, the offers rail, CRM and email hookups and follow-up funnels, and removes the badge.

When should I upgrade to a Branded Room?+

Upgrade when the room starts carrying business moments: guests from outside your team, an offer you want in view beside the meeting, guest details that should flow into your CRM or email tool with tags, or follow-up you want to happen on its own. If a brandedrooms.com address and a CSV export are fine, the Generic Room is enough.

How does the free trial vs paid room compare?+

The free 30-day trial, with no card, gives you a generic room with the waiting room, the meeting inside the page, Start the room and guest capture. A paid Generic Room adds CSV export, the standard effects pack and the attendee list, and keeps the room open after thirty days. Higher plans add your brand and custom effects.

Do effects and the attendee list need a Branded Room?+

No. The standard effects pack and the attendee list with capacity warnings are included from the Generic Room up. What the Branded Room adds is your own brand and domain, the offers rail, CRM and email hookups and follow-up funnels. The five custom party features and the logo burst arrive with Custom Deluxe.
