Why leaving the meeting costs you
When a host pastes a link into the chat, guests have to copy it, open another tab, and juggle two windows. On a phone, it can pull them out of the meeting completely. Some never come back, and the ones who do may have missed the part where you answered their exact question.
The problem is not the offer. It is that the offer lives somewhere other than the meeting. Put it beside the meeting and the problem mostly disappears.
How the featured offers rail works
A branded meeting room is a web page with the meeting inside it, so the page can hold other things beside the video. On a Branded Room, the featured offers rail sits next to the meeting and shows the programmes, products or forms you choose.
When a guest clicks one, it opens in a slide-over panel on the same page. The meeting keeps playing. The guest can read the details, pick an option or complete a form, then close the panel and carry on watching. The host can keep the rail visible all session and point to it at the right moment.
What you can put in the rail
Keep it to the few things that matter for this session.
- The main offer you mention in the session, such as a programme or product.
- A sign-up form for the next event or a waitlist.
- A booking form for a call with your team.
- A free resource that pairs with what you are teaching.
- A donation or pledge form for a fundraiser.
Tips for selling beside the meeting
Mention the rail early, in the welcome, so guests know where to look. Say what is in it and that they can open it at any time without leaving. During the pitch, refer to it by name rather than reading out a web address.
Do not crowd it. Three items is plenty; one is often best. Change what is featured as the session moves on, for example a free resource during the teaching and the paid offer during the close. And make sure the pages you link to work well in a narrow panel, with the button visible without scrolling far.
Which plan includes it
The featured offers rail is part of the Branded Room and up, alongside your own branding and domain, CRM hookups and follow-up funnels. The Generic Room covers the essentials, including the waiting room, the meeting inside your page, Start the room, guest capture, the standard effects pack and the attendee list, but not the offers rail. You can try a room with a free 30-day trial, no card, and plans are on the pricing page. Custom integrations beyond the rail are available through our team.
A quick example
Picture a coach running a masterclass for a hundred guests. While she teaches, the rail shows a free worksheet that pairs with the lesson. When she reaches the close, she swaps the featured item to her group programme and says: it is in the panel beside me, open it whenever you like. Guests click, read the programme page in the slide-over and keep watching as she answers questions about it. Anyone who decides to join completes the form on her own page without leaving the call.
What the rail is not
The rail opens your own offer pages and forms beside the meeting. It does not replace your checkout, payments or order system, and BrandedRooms does not process payments for you. Guests complete the purchase on the page you link, inside the slide-over.
