Quick wins inside the meeting
You can improve the look of any video meeting today, before changing anything else.
- Display name: your full name and company, written the same way every time.
- Background: a tidy real background, or a simple branded virtual one if your space is busy.
- Camera and light: camera at eye level, light in front of you, logo or brand colour visible behind you if it suits.
- Opening slide: a title slide in your colours to show while people arrive.
- Closing slide: one next step and one link, in the same template.
- Voice: the same warm greeting and sign-off every meeting, so people recognise it.
Brand the join, not just the window
Those quick wins brand the window, but the first impression happens before it opens. A bare meeting link drops guests into a generic screen, and if you are not there yet, they wait in silence. A branded room changes the front door: guests click a link to your page, see your logo and colours, enter a first name and email, and wait in a lobby that says you will be joining shortly, with a countdown and an add-to-calendar button. When you press Start the room, the meeting appears on every guest's page at once, joined muted.
Make the address yours
The link itself is part of your brand. A long string of numbers says nothing about who sent it. On a Branded Room, the room runs on your own domain or subdomain, such as live.yourcompany.com, with your logo, colours and fonts throughout. It reads cleanly in an email and is easy to say at the end of a call. During the free 30-day trial and on the Generic Room, the room runs on a brandedrooms.com address in BrandedRooms style.
Brand the moments and the next step
A brand is felt as much as seen. For meetings that matter, plan a signature moment, such as applause for a colleague's win or confetti on an announcement; on a paid plan the host fires effects with keys 1–5 for every in-room viewer at once. If the meeting leads somewhere, keep the next step in view: the featured offers rail on a Branded Room shows your programmes, products or forms beside the meeting, so nobody has to leave the call to find them.
Different meetings, different levels of branding
Not every meeting needs the full treatment. A quick internal check-in needs a clear name and a tidy background. A client meeting deserves a branded join page and a polished opening slide. A webinar, launch, masterclass or celebration is where the whole room should look and feel like you, from the waiting room to the follow-up. Decide the level by who is attending and what the meeting is for, and keep it consistent within each type.
Be honest about the limits
A branded room brands the page around your meeting, not the inside of every guest's meeting app. Guests who join through their own desktop app with the plain meeting link still see their app, not your page, offers or effects. So send the room link as your main link. And remember that the meeting platform's own recording shows the meeting, not the page around it; screen-record the room page if you want the branded experience in a replay.
