The short definition
Think of the difference between a hotel ballroom and the same ballroom dressed for your event. The walls, the power and the sound system are the venue's. The banners, the welcome desk, the name badges and the stage set are yours. A branded meeting room works the same way: your meeting platform supplies the video, audio and recording, and the room supplies everything guests see and do around it.
In practice that means one address you share with guests, one page that looks like your company or your business, and a meeting that appears inside that page when you are ready to begin.
What it usually includes
The term is still new, so products differ, but a branded meeting room generally covers these parts:
- A page in your brand: logo, colours, fonts and navigation, ideally on your own domain or a subdomain.
- A branded lobby that says the host will be joining shortly, with a countdown and an add-to-calendar button.
- The meeting embedded in the page, so guests join in the browser without installing anything.
- A door that asks for a name and email, so the attendance list builds itself.
- Space beside the meeting for resources, programmes or forms that open without anyone leaving the call.
- A host view to open the room, start the meeting for everyone and see who is in.
How it differs from a meeting link or webinar software
A meeting link is a utility. It gets people into a call reliably, but it looks the same for every host and carries nothing of yours. Webinar software adds registration and broadcast controls, usually inside its own branded pages and often with a one-way format where the audience watches. A branded meeting room keeps the two-way meeting people already know and wraps it in a page you own.
It is not a full virtual event platform either. There are no expo halls or session tracks. It is one room, done properly, for the moments when your brand should be the first thing people see.
When a branded meeting room makes sense
It earns its place when the meeting is part of how people experience your brand: a company all-hands, a sales kickoff, a client webinar, a masterclass, a community call, a launch or a celebration. It matters less for a quick internal stand-up, where a plain link is perfectly good.
A useful test: if you would design an invitation for the event, you probably want the room to match it.
How BrandedRooms does it
BrandedRooms gives you a branded meeting room on the meeting account you already pay for. Guests wait in your lobby, and when you press Start the room every waiting page switches to the live meeting by itself, joined muted. Every plan includes the lobby, the meeting inside the page, Start the room, the host control panel and guest capture with a CSV export, and the Generic Room already adds live effects and an attendee list with capacity warnings. The Branded Room adds your full brand, your domain, the featured offers rail, CRM and email hookups and follow-up funnels. You can start a free 30-day trial, no card, and see the plans on the pricing page.
One honest limit: your meeting licence still sets how many people can join, and anyone who chooses the desktop app instead of the page will not see the room around the meeting.
